Privacy Policy
SAs the Maala Organization (hereinafter: “the Organization”) respects the privacy of users of the websites it manages and operates (hereinafter: “the Sites”), the Organization has decided to publish its policy regarding the protection of privacy on the Sites, and it undertakes towards the user to uphold this policy. The purpose of the policy is to explain the Organization’s practices regarding the privacy of users on the Sites, and how the Organization uses information provided to it by users of the Sites or collected by it during use of the Sites.
The Privacy Policy below is written in the masculine form for convenience only, but it is intended for all genders.
General
When using the services of the Sites, information about you is collected. Some of the information personally identifies you by name and address—this is the information you knowingly provide, for example when registering for services on the Sites. Some of the information does not personally identify you and is not kept together with your personal details. This is statistical and aggregated information, for example the pages you viewed, the offers and services that interested you, the IP address from which you accessed, and more.
Registration for Services
To the extent that personal information is required when registering for services on the sites, the organization will only ask you for the information that is directly necessary to provide the services.
Use of information
The use of the information collected will be made only in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as required by any applicable law, and for the following purposes:
To enable the use of various services on the Sites.
To improve and enrich the services and content offered on the Sites.
To change or cancel existing services and content.
For the purpose of providing services on the Sites—including the publication of information and content.
The information used by the Organization will mainly be statistical information that does not personally identify you.
Direct Email Communications
The Organization wishes to send you, from time to time, via email, information regarding events, updates, and professional content and information. Such information will be sent to you only if you have given explicit consent, and you may cancel your consent at any time and stop receiving it. The Organization will not transfer your personal details to any third party. However, it may transfer statistical information about user activity on the Sites. Statistical information transferred will not personally identify you.
Transferring information to third parties
The Organization will not transfer your personal details or the information collected about your activity on the Site to third parties, except in the following cases:
If you purchase products or services from third parties who offer them for sale through the Sites, the information necessary to complete the purchase process will be transferred to those third parties.
In the event of a legal dispute between you and the Organization that requires disclosure of your details.
If you engage in activities on the Sites that violate the law.
If a judicial order is received instructing the Organization to provide your details or information about you to a third party.
If the Organization sells or transfers the activity of the Sites in any manner to another corporation — including in the event of a merger with another entity or a merger of the Sites’ activity with that of a third party — provided that such corporation assumes the obligations of this Privacy Policy towards you.
Cookies
The Organization’s Sites may use “cookies” for their ongoing and proper operation, including for the collection of statistical data about site usage, for the verification of details, to adapt the Site to your personal preferences, and for information security purposes. Modern browsers include an option to avoid receiving cookies. If you do not know how to do this, check the help tab of the browser you are using.
Information security
The Organization implements up-to-date information security systems and procedures on its Sites. While these systems and procedures reduce the risk of unauthorized access, they do not provide absolute security. Therefore, the Organization does not guarantee that its services will be completely immune from unauthorized access to information stored within them.
Right to Review Information
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, every person is entitled to review information about them held in a database. A person who has reviewed information about them and finds that it is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or not up-to-date may request the database owner to correct or delete the information.
