The total donations by Israel’s publicly-listed companies reached 609 million NIS in 2025
Main findings:
- Total donations by publicly-listed companies in 2025 amounted to 609 million NIS, a 10% decrease compared to the previous year. However, viewed in the context of 2023-2024, when donations rose sharply in response to the war, the 2025 figure reflects an average annual growth of 15% since 2022 (pre-war). In other words, donations remain higher than pre-war levels.
- The decrease is explained almost entirely by the four largest banks, whose donations totaled 213 million NIS, an average decrease of 30% compared to 2024. Even so, their 2025 donations reflect an average annual growth of 25% since 2022.
- In 2025, more companies increased their donations (92) than decreased them (82). This compares to 2024, when 71 companies increased and 112 decreased.
- The ten largest corporate donors accounted for 58% of all donations by publicly-listed companies.
- The median donation as a share of pre-tax profit, among companies that ended the year with a profit, was 0.39%, slightly above the 12-year average (0.38%). Among publicly-listed companies included in the Maala ESG Index, the median was higher, at 0.48%.
- Of the 206 publicly-listed companies that donated, 79 published a donations policy in their annual report.
