Corporate Responsibility in Israel – 20 Years of the Maala Index

The 2026 Maala ESG Index was released in a reveal event held at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

This year, the Maala Index turns the spotlight on the distinctiveness of Israeli corporate responsibility. Israel’s leading companies operate with an agenda of ongoing commitment to Israeli society and a values-driven orientation attuned to local needs, alongside steady progress on environmental and climate challenges.

This year’s rating included approximately 150 companies, with combined revenues of around 570 billion NIS and some 200,000 employees in Israel – representing roughly a quarter of the country’s GDP and around 10% of the business sector workforce. Publicly-listed companies rated by Maala are included in the TA-Maala Index on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, which in 2025 recorded an annual return of 68.5%, compared to 51% for the TA-125.
